ABOUT THE BOOK
The effective delivery of healthcare requires coordinated interdisciplinary team efforts involving doctors, nurses, and many other health workers. This working paper, based on applied behavioral science concepts and techniques, outlines an approach to effective team functioning and describes the main elements and field-test results of a specific educational programme developed to improve team-work among health practitioners. Offering solutions to specific task-related problems like goal setting and role allocation, it provides the team with a set of skills and concepts such as conflict resolution, decision-making and role clarification, which they can apply in the future as similar problems develop.
