ABOUT THE BOOK
The author has structured the hierarchy of courts in ancient India and the way the courts were handling the matter and disposing off them in speedy way. It is interesting to read the methods followed in ancient India as to how the proceedings of the court were conducted, how the witness were examined , how the defendant or accused was called upon and judgement delivered. The methodology followed to extract truth from the accused and the ordeals conducted in cases where there was no eye witness. According to the author, the judicial system in ancient India was based upon moral and social values. Standard of conduct and the ancient philosophy. Merits like speedy justice, transparency and affordability under ancient system can provide national reorientation to the present system.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Sh. S. Narain an Alumnus of IIT, Roorkee earlier known as university of Roorkee, has been the Registrar Board of Technical Education Govt. of Delhi.
For more than 15 years with a rare distinction of having got sponsored into I.A.S. by Govt. of Delhi. He has also worked as officer on Special Duty, Delhi College of Engineering, Govt. of Delhi, a prestigious Engineering College for degree, post degree and doctorate level courses for several years.
